Lactation Counseling
Overview:
Meet Rachel, our IBCLC with a master's in Human Lactation. She will provide a personalized session tailored to meet your needs, with ample time for questions and recommendations. Whether your baby is cuddled in your lap or enjoying a calm feeding session, our goal is to ensure that both mom and baby feel fully supported.

We evaluate the baby’s oral motor function alongside the nursing process, providing practical strategies to improve feeding and support mom and baby’s needs. Our approach focuses on helping babies achieve proper oral function and strong, coordinated muscle movement to support effective nursing, breathing, and swallowing. During a lactation consultation, we assess oral anatomy and function, including the tongue, lips, and facial muscles, and provide individualized guidance and exercises to help improve feeding comfort and efficiency.

The session supports the breastfeeding dyad, addressing challenges such as:
-
Poor latch
-
Tongue-tie
-
Difficulty transferring milk
